Damascus Town Park

The Damascus Town Park is the primary gathering space in town and hosts the Appalachian Trail Days Festival, Independence Day Celebration, Beaverdam Jams, and more. Three trails pass through the park: the Appalachian Trail, Beaverdam Creek Trail, and Virginia Creeper Trail. The Town Park is a popular spot for picnics, group events, and trail access.

Laurel Creek Park

Laurel Creek Park, dedicated in memory of John P. Seymore, III, is an idyllic setting at the edge of downtown by Laurel Creek. It is the home of the Damascus Farmers Market, open weekly on Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm. Access Laurel Creek Park from the Virginia Creeper Trail via the Laurel Creek Connector Trail.

The Damascus Dog Park, dedicated in honor of Jack McCrady, is the newest park in town. Phase One of development is nearly complete and the dog park features two large fenced-in areas for off-leash play. The Damascus Dog Park is volunteer-built and community-driven. The dog park is a tremendous asset for residents, visitors, and neighboring communities. Access the Damascus Dog Park from Whistlestop Road, off South Railroad Avenue, or from the Virginia Creeper Trail near Trestle 17.

Creekside Park, dedicated in honor of Richard Smith, is a peaceful space to rest along the Virginia Creeper Trail and Laurel Creek. The park features benches and creek access. This park is bike-in and walk-in only; no parking.
